Corrugated metal and R-panel (exposed fastener) at $5-$8/sq ft installed for agricultural buildings, shops, carports, and covered patios in China. 29-gauge is budget, 26-gauge is standard. For residential, we recommend 24-gauge standing seam at $12-$22/sq ft. The aesthetics and longevity justify the premium. Shingle Roofing
GAF Timberline HDZ. The best-selling shingle in North America. With StrikeZone nailing area for consistent fastener placement. Class A fire rating per UL 790, Class 4 impact resistance per UL 2218 (when installed in the GAF Roof System), and Class H wind rating per ASTM D7158 (130 mph). We install Timberline in the full GAF system to qualify for Golden Pledge warranty: 25-year non-prorated workmanship plus 50-year materials with WindProven limited wind warranty (no max speed). Our inspection covers the roof and the attic. From the attic, we check for daylight through the roof deck, moisture stains on rafters, mold on sheathing, and ventilation function. Problems in the attic often indicate roof issues that aren't visible from the surface.
